EEM2DF Contributed to the Brian Freeman Scholarship for the 11th year

The Second Dragoons Foundation (EEM2DF) is proud to have made another contribution to the SSG Brian Freeman scholarship fund in 2020. This marks the 11th anniversary of our association with the Freeman scholarship. We could not be prouder of providing a small part of the Freeman family’s contribution to our country’s freedom and continuing commitment after paying the ultimate price for that freedom.

U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Brian L. Freeman was killed in combat in Iraq on 7 November 2005 while serving with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment (3ACR). The SSG Freeman scholarship was established by SSG Freeman’s family to provide college funding for one student per year who graduates from Freeman’s former high school and writes the best essay concerning what our country or military means to them. This year, Aden Thomas won the scholarship with an excellent essay on patriotism.

SSG Freeman’s memory lives on through his family’s dedication to this scholarship and we are proud to be associated with this effort. SSG Freeman’s 3ACR commander LTG (R) H.R. McMaster sent EEM2DF a note with his donation saying, “Thank you for honoring the memory of SSG Brian Freeman.”

God bless SSG Brian Freeman’s family and those they support.
