Our Members;
Scott C. Pierce, (Officer, founding member, fund raiser) Scott grew up in Peoria, Illinois and graduated from West Point in 1986. He served in the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment in Germany from 1987 to 1990 before returning to the U.S. and graduating from the Special Forces Qualification Course in 1991. He left active duty to attend Wharton for an MBA and then worked for JP Morgan in New York as a bond trader. He remained in the reserves and was called to duty following the attacks of September the 11th. He served at the Pentagon, Fort Bragg, MacDill AFB, Qatar, completed his Masters of Strategic Studies at the US Army War College, and retired as a LTC. Scott returned to bond trading in 2006 and now works for Amherst Pierpont Securities in NYC while living in Cary, NC with his wife and 3 daughters. Amherst Pierpont Securities was named the winner of the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve small business leader for the state of CT.
Jack Farley, (Officer, founding member, fund raiser) Jack was raised in Louisville, Kentucky and graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1986. During college, Jack served in the 100th Division as a reservist and entered active duty for four years after graduating. His active duty was mainly spent in the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment in Germany. Immediately following his active service, he earned an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. Since 1992, Jack has held commercial leadership positions with ARCO, McKinsey & Company, Reliant Resources, and Cinergy Corp. Jack and his wife Sally have two children, Daniel and Sarah.
T J Linzy, (Officer, founding member, fund raiser) T J was born and raised in western Kentucky. He joined the U.S. Army in 1987 and served with the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment. T J was on patrol on the East German border the day it fell and participated in Operation Desert Storm with the Regiment. His civilian experience has included stints at Amazon.com, Belkin, IBM, Cognizant, Lastminute.com, Last.fm, Ebay, Skype, Spotify, Travelers, and the U.S. Air Force.
Charles McLaughlin IV, (Officer, founding member, fund raiser) Charles is a Visiting Fellow at The Catholic University of America. From 2017-2021 he served as a senior official in foreign policy making roles in the US government. Prior to that, he spent 15 year as strategy consultant and nonprofit leader. His military experience includes active duty service in the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, where he had the distinct privilege to have Master Sergeant Edward E. Mixon as his platoon sergeant. Later, he served in the Special Forces and retired from the Army Reserve as a Special Forces colonel in 2016.
